The SEAM Institute

We are a professional organization that promotes the knowledge and practice of the
Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM) for creating and sustaining organizational change in the English speaking world.  Our members are academics, leaders, and organization development practitioners who support the work of SEAM.

Board of Directors

  • Former professor of Organization Development. He has conducted SEAM interventions and educated about SEAM since 2010.

  • Editor in Chief of the peer-review online journal, The Theory and Practice of Socio-Economic Management. She has been conducting SEAM interventions and teaching about SEAM in the US and Europe since 2010. 

  • Professor of management at IDRAC Business School, Lyon, France; PDW Chair of the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management; SEAM intervener-researcher since 2013.

  • Co-Founder of The Liminal Edge, a consultancy based upon the philosophy of SEAM. She is a SEAM Principal Consultant  trained by the SEAM Institute and combines SEAM with Integral Agile Leadership and Enterprise Agile Transitions.

  • Co-Founder of The Liminal Edge, SEAM Principal Consultant trained by the SEAM Institute, has been developing human potential in Fortune 100 companies for over 20 years, has led multiple SEAM interventions and Enterprise Agile Transitions. 

  • Co-Founder of The Liminal Edge, SEAM Principal Consultant, partners with organizations to improve socio-economic performance. Leveraging a human-centric approach, he has worked with several Fortune 100 organizations to increase their business agility.

  • Led a SEAM intervention during her time as the Dean of the School of Business and Technology at the College of St. Scholastica, and sponsored the annual SEAM conferences from 2015-2018.

  • Senior Consultant at Fathom Consulting, and was involved in the SEAM intervention at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. 

  • Vice President of Learning and Development at APi Group. He has integrated SEAM philosophy in his teaching, consulting, and academic work.

  • Consultant at DataWELL Informatics. She has been a contributor to the online journal The Theory and Practice of Socio-Economic Management, as well as SEAM conferences in France and the U.S.  

Our Partners

ISEOR is  the  research and practice home of SEAM in Lyon, France.  Founded by the creator of SEAM, Henri Savall, ISEOR stands for the initials of the Institut de socio-économie des entreprises et des organizations (in English this means the Socio-Economic Institute of Firms and Organizations). ISEOR is a co-sponsor of annual SEAM conferences in the US.

​Square Circle, Brussels, Belgium, is a consulting firm that uses SEAM as one of its methods for organizational change.

St. Croix Regional Medical Center, St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, has used SEAM to improve its operations and build a new organizational culture since 2015.

School of Business and Technology, College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, Minnesota, which teaches about SEAM in its MBA program and is a co-sponsor of annual SEAM conferences in the US.
